Nobody Panic.

Take a deep breath.

And remember they can't travel via the world wide web.

Perhaps you should sit down.

I've got MOTHS!!!!!

It doesn't look like they've found my stash.  (But I'm freezing it all anyway.)(Well, in batches - my freezer isn't very big!)

I haven't found any clothes damage (yet) - but I'm washing and/or dry cleaning every single thing I own.

They have made good headway on the carpet -- hiding under a bunch of shoes I never wear.  Luckily I've always hated the carpet - so I'm going to rip it all out and have some wood floors put in.

So no time for knitting.  I've got wool to save!!!!!!!!

I'll have my fingers crossed that your stash and clothes are ok.

Unless your carpet is wool you don't have moths, you have carpet beetles. They'll eat everything, including cotton, while moths will only eat wool . . . if you're noticing the damage you probably have a pretty serious problem though, because carpet beetles are everywhere and no one usually knows they're there! Good luck!

Fortunately, I am 3000 miles away from you, so I won't panic. But I really hope they are a non-fond memory by now.

Yuk. It does sound like carpet beetles. My mother in law has them and I never take my knitting round there! (Irrational fear!) Acrylic carpets or wood floors are the best. Good luck.

OMG!

Thank god we mainly have wooden or tiled floors, in fact we only have two rooms carpeted as well as the HSL.....

The trousers look similar to the lapels. It's hard to say, because I can't look at them for longer than a microsecond...
