I iron from the center out and I have had good results.
On a side note, I also prefer to knit my lace in sock yarn because it's machine wash/dry. I don't wear shawls, so mine end up as table runners, bedspreads, curtains.
Your work always makes me want to buy more patterns! (And caused my imminent bankruptcy - but that's another story.)

I'll report back on the blocking wires. I ordered them last week - so I'll have them when I'm ready to block the Hamani!Soohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08072821039582965057noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2774857645428726855.post-3869335028912448342007-05-21T11:32:00.000+01:002007-05-21T11:32:00.000+01:00Love the yoga mat idea! Have thought about buying some myself but they seem expensive for what they are so maybe there's more to them than just straight, wirey things.

Also looking forward to see how your new project, the Hanami stole, develops - that's one fascinating pattern.

Oh, and it goes without saying that your work is beautiful!feltbootshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12849456332544561913noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2774857645428726855.post-49717455167081394532007-05-15T12:09:00.000+01:002007-05-15T12:09:00.000+01:00Thanks Vik!The yoga mat was a great suggestion fro...Thanks Vik!

The yoga mat was a great suggestion from a forum member on the Angel Yarn forums.

And I'm just about to order my blocking wires today.
